Nvidia spustila ostrý provoz služby GeForce Now pro streamování her. Můžete vyzkoušet variantu zdarma, u níž je každé připojení k herním PC v cloudu omezené na hodinu (můžete se ale připojovat opakovaně) anebo placenou službu s tříměsíční zkušební dobou zdarma. Podíváme se na funkce, výhody, nevýhody a jak je na tom s kvalitou a odezvou.
Seznam her podporovaných v GeForce Now pro PC k 4. 2. 2020
Přímo výpis podporovaných her na stránkách Nvidie není, zda GeForce Now podporuje hru, kterou chcete hrát, se ověřuje přes vyhledávání, kde je třeba zadat její název. Už při zadávání vám řádek našeptává, takže to není takový problém.
I tak mě dost vytáčelo, že to musím zkoušet metodou pokus-omyl, takže jsem prohrabal zdroják stránky a vytáhnul z něj seznam her pro našeptávač, který následuje. Upozorňuji, že je z minulého týdne, takže už teď není zcela aktuální – v podporovaných hrách přibyl třeba Quake II RTX (zkoušel jsem to před dvěma dny, kdy na ukázku fungovala sharewarová verze). Pro základní přehled to ale stačí, podporovaných her je na seznamu tolik, že se mi to ani nechce přesně počítat (je to něco kolem 550 položek). Nové hry přidává Nvidia zhruba jednou týdně. Nespolupracuje jen s velkými vydavateli, ale i s těmi menšími i s vývojáři indie.
Nvidia se při prezentaci zmiňovala ještě o dalších více než tisíci titulech, které fungují, ale nejsou plně podporované. V takovém přpadě hra oznámí, že není plně podporovaná, na každé sezení je třeba ji znovu nainstalovat (na to je vyhrazený prostor kolem 250 GB) a máte u ní povolit synchronizaci uložených pozic s cloudem. Moc štěstí jsem s instalací těch plně nepodporovaných titulů ale neměl. Když jsem to zkoušel přes klienta ve steamu, většinou mi prostě GeForce now oznámilo, že danou hru nepodporuje a že byl zaznamenán požadavek na to, že ji chci hrát.
